A new song by Cymbals Eat Guitars, "Tunguska," is available for free if you go to their MySpace page, click the "Get it Now" button, enter an email address, cross the Valley of the Undead, pass through the Forbidden Forest, click on the link in the email and go to another site to confirm your wish to download the song. Those who complete the perilous quest will find a song that contains the rhythm changes, soundscapes and tenderly caustic vocals that have made the band's self-released debut album, Why There Are Mountains, popular even before many stores carry the thing. "Tunguska" is slated to be a b-side to the "...And the Hazy Sea" single in the United Kingdom. You may want to get it while it's free, since it's not on their album and the album itself is available in few places until September 22, when a broader distribution may bring it to your local record store.
