Cymbals Eat Guitars are putting out a new single on March 1, the a-side of which will be filled by their "Wind Phoenix." The bigger news is that the b-side is a more than competent cover of Elliott Smith's "Ballad of Big Nothing," which matches the emotional tremors of the original. The Pacific Northwest has been an easy-to-spot influence on these young Staten Islanders, which is easier to spot here. Listen at P4K
