Curren$y: "The Hangover" f. Mikey Rocks
The last leak from Curren$y's soon-coming Pilot Talk featured the New Orleans MC teaming up with two of his Center Edge Territory cronies, Jay Electronica and Mos Def. The results, "The Day," were relatively solid, although Spitta sounded like he was sleepwalking through his verse. That, too, pretty much goes for his latest single, "The Hangover," which features Mikey Rocks, of the Cool Kids. On any other track it would seem like Curren$y's lackadaisical rhyming is actually a nice fit for Rocks' similarly laid-back style. But on here it sounds uninspired and terribly drab.
