Curren$y: "The Day" f. Mos Def & Jay Electronica
With Curren$y's upcoming project finally dropping next month, it's only right that the blog-friendly MC is seeing his tracks leak to the web. Last Monday, we heard what I'm assuming was a street single for Pilot Talk in "Roasted," a mini-posse cut made for this humid weather currently drowning the East Coast. And nearly a week later, the New Orleans spitter has leaked one of the album's most anticipated cuts. Unfortunately, one of the biggest guests, Mos Def, only provides the hook on "The Day." But with an absolutely banger of a beat from Ski Beatz and killer verse from Jay Electronica, this track can do no wrong. If only Curren$y didn't sound so bored on his opening verse.
