Although they were both very solid albums and sold reasonably well, neither of Curren$y's Pilot Talk releases really had what you could call a radio-friendly single. Well, "Seat Change" and "Michael Knight" had a bit of potential, but they were nothing like "She Don't Want a Man" off the forthcoming Weekend At Burnie's. And even though it's clearly destined for more airplay -- and spots on TV with this sharp new video -- that doesn't mean Curren$y has dumbed-down his approach. He is as profane and blunted as ever, but the chorus is one of the catchiest he has written as of late. And the production from Monsta Beatz? You can't get much smoother than that. Will "She Don't Want a Man" and its storytelling visuals help push Curren$y further into the mainstream eye? Here's hoping.
