Curren$y: "Scottie Pippen" f. Freddie Gibbs

When Curren$y  revealed the track list for his Covert Coup EP last week, two tracks in particular stood out. One of them, "The Type," features the New Orleans native spitting alongside Mobb Deep's Prodigy while the other, "Scottie Pippen," boasts a guest verse from Freddie Gibbs. You see, not only is Gibbs on a hot streak in terms of guest appearances, but he's also working on an all-out project, Devil's Palace, with the Alchemist, who produced all of Covert Coup.

And today, Curren$y's fan site has chosen to leak the "Scottie Pippen." The track basically takes whatever expectations you had for it and lights them on fire. The Alchemist has provided the two MCs with a smoky, gutter-ass beat that suits both Curren$y's stream-of-consciousness delivery and Gibbs' track-attacking flow. And after hearing the latter's verse, I could use a turkey bacon sandwich for breakfast, too. And an inhaler.
