Fellow Prefix writer Erik Ziedses des Plantes summed up the latest Curren$y track, which finds him rapping over Rick Ross and Kanye West's "Live Fast, Die Young," pretty damn well with the following assessment: "If you've heard any of Curren$y's other takes on popular tracks, you know that he goes flying beyond the call of duty nearly every time. This track is no exception." "Daze of Thunder" is loaded with clever bars from the New Orleans rapper, who here has complemented the track with some visuals directed by Jonah Schwartz. The video is focused almost entirely on a restored car owned by Spitta along with some rapping-to-the-camera shots. Nothing fancy, but it works.
