Crystal Stilts: "Practically Immaculate"
It's been two years since Crystal Stilts were the most dapper buzz band in the land, but they're still toiling on a sophomore album. Instead of staying off everyone's minds, the band got in the Christmas song act this year with "Practically Immaculate," their buzzing Christmas song presumably about the Virgin Mary. I say presumably because this is reverbed to the max. Great use of a chorus though. Sounds like a Ian Curtis-led hymnal. Listen at Pitchfork.
