Crystal Stilts: "Love is a Wave" (Video)

MP3 files of Crystal Stilts’ “Love is a Wave” have been circling for a few weeks, and now an official video for the song has been issued. Like their other video clips, this promo is low budget and grainy, looks like it was shot on Super 8, and is full of old footage that seems to have been taken from public information films from the 1970s.

“Love is a Wave” is one of the shortest songs in their canon, clocking in at just 1:59. Not much has changed since that impressive debut album from last year, with Frankie Rose still thumping away on two drums while singer Brad Hargett drenches his vocals in reverb. The only slight departure is JB Townsend’s guitar sound, which resembles a scratchy mish-mash of the Wedding Present and the Buzzcocks.
