Brooklyn’s Crystal Stilts are the latest band from the BK to hit the buzz cycle, as their Clinic-meets-shoegaze garage rock has found the band opening for the likes of Neon Neon and signed to Slumberland. The band’s debut album, Alight of Night, hits shelves in October, but you can hear the band’s title track right now.
“Crystal Stilts” uses a lot of negative space to produce a haunting effect—the song sounds like it was recorded in haunted house. A surf-rock guitar floats around the vocals and percussion, flitting in and out of the track like it’s off in it’s own universe.
Alight of Night is due out on October 28 via Slumberland.
