"Doe Deer," the post-apocalyptic new single from Crystal Castles" aired yesterday on the BBC, and We All Want Someone got its hands on a stream, which is above. This thing is all blown out electronica, shrieks, and palpable menace and dread. Just like every other Crystal Castles song. "Doe Deer" is set for inclusion on the band's self-titled sophomore album, and will be released as a Record Store Day single. But only 500 copies will be available, so set your iPod alarms, guys.
Crystal Castles is due out on June 8 via Fiction. [via Stereogum]
That 'blown out' sound is everywhere now (see also: Sleigh Bells). Regardless, this has a nice demented feel to it. Also, the DJ sounds like he's straining to take a sh*t when he says "Doe Deer" at the beginning.
