“C.R.E.A.M.” (Freestyle)

Damn, I’ve actually been waiting to hear Curren$y over some production like this. Here, the New Orleans rapper and Willie the Kid cool out over Wu-Tang’s smooth-but-rugged classic, “C.R.E.A.M.” It must be a little old, though, because Curren$y shouts out Young Money/Cash Money. Spitta begins by altering Raekwon’s original opening line, taking us from the good side to the hood side and putting himself in line with criminals because “wherever there’s crime there’s cash and wherever there’s cash there is I.” Willie does his thing, too, but his presence on the track is magnified by the fact that he’s the younger brother of Wu affiliate La the Darkman.
