Cornershop have been busting parameters and shirking the traditional model for over two decades now. Their upcoming record Urban Turban stays right in the pocket of their iconoclasm – the first single “Milkin’ It” crushes a dusty hip-hop throb with a lilt of south-Asian glow, namedropping everyone from Ultramagnetic MCs to Wu-Tang Clan. We’re lucky to premiere an early remix. Casa del Mirto’s rework essentially morphs the regimented grooves into a swollen midnight-house banger, shots of lucid piano, velvety strings, and a chunky bassline.
