It's kind of interesting to see how the hip-hop mixtape model has continued to progress over the years. Actually, there are quite a few different breeds of the mixtape, as it can be a "street" album, a collection of "freestyles," or a free online album. For the most part, Consequence's latest project, Movies on Demand, falls into the third category. Some of its tracks are being treated like singles and receiving the video treatment, such as "Life is Short." And I get the feeling most of the writers and readers of this site can relate to the track and its visuals, the latter of which features Cons hooking up with a female in a bathroom following perhaps one shot too many.
With cuts like these being offered for free, I can't help but anticipate Consequence's Cons TV album. There's no official release date, but it's expected to drop later this summer.
