
This new, previously unreleased track from Common was originally thought to be a leftover from the Like Water for Chocolate era, or around 1998-2000. But after several listens, it became clear that the reggae-tinged "Follow Me," which references former President George W. Bush and weapons of massive destruction, was likely recorded during the Be sessions, or 2003-05. Either way, new Common is still one hell of a treat, even with the unfinished feel of the track. Still, I could definitely hear this fitting in on Be, particularly because of the jazzy, horns-laden production.
