Now that TV on the Radio have taken their side-slung drums in music videos to a much better song, Coldplay are left with nothing left but to do an intense live video for “Lost.” The vocals and music are obviously laid over the top of the video (I mean, how could Chris Martin stay in tune when he does that seizure thing around 2:20?), but the clip is more exciting (the music? Not so much) than the hair-metal live-clip template (that was utilized on videos like this one).

“Lost” is on Viva La Vida, which is out now, but will also be featured on the Lost EP, which is due out digitally on November 10. [Stereogum]
