Long Beach-based indie rockers Cold War Kids showed up on David Letterman’s show last night (March 14), where they performed “Louder Than Ever” from Mine Is Yours. This is the kind of inoffensive rock the band has been pedaling since day one, and when Letterman jokes “don’t hurt me with that” as a stray guitar almost hits him at the end, you can be pretty much guaranteed that this is a group who wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing. It’s essentially rock music that you can take home to mom and dad.
