More than a month has passed since we first heard the new Cold War Kids track, “Something Is Not Right With Me,” and it still sounds conspicuously like that song from the insufferable Mika.
But the song is still more immediate and propulsive than anything the band has recorded before. The video is pretty standard band performs/ gets into shenanigans fair, but the venue is different: an abandoned warehouse full of chalkboards and dinner tables.
“Something” appears on Loyalty to Loyalty, due out September 23 via Downtown. [MTV]

I think it’s a pretty decent song, the video is so-so. I fail to see the similarities between this song and (ugh) Mika.
