Musical maturation has come quickly for Cleveland's Dylan Baldi, the man behind Cloud Nothings. His original breakout track, "Hey Cool Kid" was a great first effort, but in listening to "Understand At All," our first sample from his self-titled debut LP, the growth is pretty impressive. "Understand At All" is an indisputable pop gem, with guitars that are noisy, playful, emotional, and rambunctious all at once. Maybe the closest touch point I can find is a less bluesy Exploding Hearts, which is nothing but a good thing. Check out the song below. Cloud Nothings sees release come Jan. 25. [Stereogum]
