It's been tough for female pop singers not named Lady Gaga these days, since their albums are subject to lengthy holding patterns, and focus grouped into oblivion. But their albums do apparently get released eventually; Ciara's long-delayed Fantasy Ride is out today, and in promotion she took to Good Morning America to perform "Never Ever" from the album, a song that contains a lyrical nod to Simply Red's "If You Don't Know Me By Now." "Never Ever" must be shaping up to be the next single from Fantasy Ride (she performed it on Regis & Kelly yesterday too), or Ciara couldn't lure Justin Timberlake onto Good Morning America to perform their now inescapable single, "Love, Sex, Magic."
Fantasy Ride is out now.

Don't you mean Simply Red's cover of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes "If You Don't Know Me By Now"?
