Chromeo on record can wear thin, since their '80s dance pop doesn't have a lot of depth. But in the context of a late night TV performance? They're pretty much perfect. The fact that they're so willing to be goofy--check the bank of keyboards, the leg-stands, the backing band of lady cops--is a welcome from the usually straight-foward, sell-my-record professionalism of late night (Odd Future excluded, obviously). Even if the song they perform, "Hot Mess," is far from my favorite, I enjoyed the hell out of this.
