Chip Tha Ripper: "Realer"
Like plenty of rappers before him, Cleveland's Chip Tha Ripper went the low-key release route last night and dropped off a free track on his Tumblr. It was only a matter of time before bloggers everywhere picked it up, though, if only because dude's proven himself a more than competent rapper this year. I mean, I know I can't be the only one still digging this past March's Gift Raps. Chip's maintained his laid-back flow on this latest leak, the for-the-ladies "Realer," which is propelled by a Ralph Tresvant, of New Edition, sample. Given its brief running time, it's not clear whether this track is finished or not, though I could certainly hear it as a deep cut on an upcoming project.
