Do you prefer Wiz Khalifa's mixtape material to his debut album, Rolling Papers? Well, then you're in luck as he's teamed up with frequent collaborator Chevy Woods for this brand-new mixtape, The Cookout. Khalifa raps and sings on eight of the project's 10 tracks, most of which deal with the topics we have come to expect from these guys. We're talking weed, women, booze, good food, and just enjoying life.
Even though neither Khalifa nor Woods will win awards for their lyrical content, they complement the smooth, altogether excellent production perfectly. It makes for a listen that's easy on the ears and friendly to good sound systems. A big reason for that is the fact Big Jerm handles some of the production. You might remember him as the dude who laced the hazy beats for Khalifa's collaborations with Big Sean and Curren$y.
