The Juan Maclean remix of Chairlift's "Evident Utensil" entirely erases the lighthearted tropical soul of the original in favor of the space-age trance disco that Maclean seems to favor in his remixes. The ghost of Caroline Polachek's vocals haunt the loopy, cosmic trip that the Juan Maclean embarks on, and that remnant, along with a chunk of the original's percussion buried deep in there, seems like enough for this to actually be called a "remix."
