On "Exercise #3 (Building)," Mike Silver runs in circles. Every element on this track spins around on itself until it returns to its point of origin: the piano chords that form its airy backdrop; the tumbling arpeggiated synths that attack and retreat like the tide; the swells of noise that slowly drift and oscillate from one side of the stereo field to other. The melodies and structural skill displayed here best efforts that the Montreal producer has previous released under his CFCF moniker, boding well for his April 24 mini-album Exercises.
