CFCF: Crystal Mines (Video)

In case anyone was wondering where Montreal producer CFCF (AKA Mike Silver) got his creepy red mask aesthetic from, this new video for his track "Crystal Mines" should answer that. The video is made entirely from clips of 1974 French film Nuits Rouges, which features a scary guy in a red mask going around doing scary stuff. CFCF's particularly spooky 8-bit Quincy Jones music that accompanies the clip doesn't make the fear factor any lighter, so maybe this one isn't for late night watching. [Pitchfork]
