Cee-Lo Green has a number of projects that he’s currently working on, not least of which is his forthcoming solo record, Lady Killer. While his fans patiently wait for that, Cee-Lo has released “What Part of Forever” as part of the ever-popular Twilight soundtrack franchise, and stepped up on Jay Leno’s show last night (June 14) to perform the song.
Cee-Lo always knows how to put on a show, and this performance was no exception—here, he decided to color-code with most of his all-female backing band. The sound mix is pretty awful in Leno’s studio, which can yield mixed results for any live performers, and while there will certainly be better circumstances to witness Cee-Lo’s soulful yearn, he just about pulls off something worth seeing here.
