After the taking the web by storm with his foul-mouthed kiss-off anthem, "Fuck You," Cee-Lo Green returns with an about face. Sure, the latest single from his upcoming album, The Lady Killer, again pairs the singer with music straight out the 1950s and '60s, what with the modest guitar and orchestral strings. But on "Old Fashioned," he's playing the role of a man much more inspired by love and not looking for some profanity-laced redemption. I must say, it's interesting to hear that two rapper-turned-singers have taken the throwback approach this year. First it was Aloe Blacc with his return to the '70s on Good Things and, clearly, Cee-Lo's tackling the years prior.
You can stream "Old Fashioned" below. The Lady Killer drops Nov. 2.
