The solution to the tricky question of how to get around Cee-Lo’s expletive riddled “Fuck You” on national television seems to have been to insert a second or two of silence in place of that word. It worked (sorta) on Letterman last month and the producers of Lopez Tonight pulled off the same trick during this performance yesterday (Dec. 2), although there are so many close-ups of Green mouthing the word that’s it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what he’s saying. There’s even a heavily bleeped intro to the track which features Lopez and Green goofing around. It all seems somewhat futile at this point, but I bet it's led to some awkward "mommy, what is the man on TV saying?" conversations between parents and their children.
