"My Heart," taken from the upcoming Castanets' album, is a fitting clip for one of Ray Raposa's song. It's got a man off in the woods alone, even when someone else appears, and it's got a calmness to it that eventually gives way to a buzzing urgency. Mix in some strange and lovelorn images and you've got Raposa's sound captured nearly perfectly on video. And the creaky, haunted country sound of the song is pretty great too.
The band's new album, Texas Rose, the Thaw, and the Beasts, is out Sept. 22 on Asthmatic Kitty. [Stereogum]
