Caribou: "Odessa" (Video)

It's hard to rectify the liquid dance music of "Odessa' with its dead of winter video, since this isn't music that evokes images of rams in the snow, snow-covered roads, or a bloody woman searching for something. This is music for sweat covered rooms, poorly-lit bars and for getting down. But Caribou has always seemed reluctant to fully embrace the imagery that goes along with dance music--instead trying to stay psychedelic--so this makes sense in that regard. Still though, this looks like a Mastodon video, not a video from a Canadian dance music producer. 

Caribou's Swim is due out on April 20. [Pitchfork]
