I'm not sure that it's necessarily fair to say that this "Ghosts," the new track from Grizzly Bear member Chris Taylor's solo project CANT, sounds like lo-fi Grizzly Bear, but whether that's fair or not, it's definitely not an insult. It's got the same earnest yet laid-back, pastoral quality that so much of Grizzly Bear's work contains, except the harmonies aren't so sweeping and the track's worn-out, underwater feel gives it a very different element.
You can get "Ghosts" on a split 7-inch Taylor's releasing on his own Terrible Records imprint. It's backed by an Arthur Russell track and is available now. [GVSB]

I remember a few years ago at a CSS? show I bumped into this guy and we were both like, "oh sorry." Then we chatted for a minute and I said, "you look familar, where do I know you from? do you work in music" or something along those lines. The guy was like oh yeah, I'm in this band Grizzly Bear. Haha. Good stuff.
