You had to figure that since Tha Carter III has been selling like crazy, that every MC without an album of his own out would start putting out their own versions of tracks off Weezy’s opus. Well, here’s Purple Haze himself Cam’ron with a version of “Let the Beat Build.” Is it better than the original? Probably not. But Cam drops a couple of decent lines, and you can always count on him to at least be moderately entertaining.

adam, have you read the "cam'ron's rhyme book" post that showed up on oh word like two years ago? it was pretty much like the one you wrote. it had a line about ron burgundy that sounds EXACTLY like something cam would say. |
