Campfires: "Chasing Planets" (MP3)
Chicago's Campfires want to put a little hop in your step with this track, off of an unknown release to come later this year. If you're into Arthur/Lola era Kinks (and who isn't?) with a charmingly lo-fi psych-pop infusion, then this track is carved out especially for you. Campfires is planning for a break-out year in 2011, releasing a new 7" of songs, "Dusty Mansion" b/w "Time Flying By", on the Small Plates label this spring, making an appearance at SXSW, and releasing a mysterious "forthcoming something" that will feature "Chasing Planets", most likely either an EP or full-length follow up to their sold-out Burning Rivers, TV Flickers, Drifting Off To Bed cassette-only release.
