Perpetually weird-as-fuck-but-still-awesome Busdriver is at, perhaps, his most bizarre here for his cover of Animal Collective's "Leaf House," off 2004's Sun Tongs. And the thing is, he didn't only record his own version of the track, which drones with robotic and nasally vocals but still bumps. The Los Angeles resident went ahead and made an oddball video for the song using only his Android cellphone. You can tell it's a low-budget affair from the jump, but Busdriver makes up for the lack of video quality with stuffed animals, quick edits, and tons of personality.
"Leaf House" is being released as a single Sept. 30.
