Busdriver: "Ladyplace" (Prod. Flying Lotus)
We heard the A-side of Busdriver's latest single, Leaf House, last month and it made for an engaging spin on Animal Collective's track of the same name off their 2004 release, Sung Tongs. On the B-side, though, the Los Angeles everything-man is taking the lead creatively as he offers a brand-new track in "Ladyplace." It also finds him collaborating with like-minded space invader Flying Lotus, who provides the appropriately woozy beat. If you (somehow) can't get down with Busdriver's rhymes, maybe this will ease you into his catalog. If not, then, well, you're missing out. Dude might be weird, but he's all pretty damn talented.
