Bun B: "Put It Down" f. Drake

The leaking of "Put It Down" apparently serves as both another leak/hype-builder for Bun B's upcoming third solo album and a celebration of the 20,000th member joining #teamtrill on Twitter. Even though I can't help but think that's kind of corny, at least he's staying true to his word. And, for the most part, this track from Trill O.G. is rather enjoyable. Featuring heaps of organ and hi-hats, Boi-1da serves up a perfectly Southern production here for Bun to strut over. But Drake nearly ruins the otherwise triumphant feel of this track with repeated lyrics -- "swimming in the money," for one -- and an awkward rapped-then-"sung" hook. Even though I can see "Put It Down" becoming a minor hit, that chorus just sounds forced and boring.
