Broken Social Scene: "Texico Bitches" (Star Slinger Remix)
For his latest remix, UK producer Star Slinger has chosen to transform Broken Social Scene's rocking "Texico Bitches" into something, well, completely different. The vocals are still there for the most part, but they're no longer draped over the easily digestible drums and guitar of the original. Instead, one of BSS's catchier tracks has been morphed into a banging burner. Star Slinger's take on "Texico Bitches" equally drifts and thumps, backed by gigantic percussion and the thickest of bass. I wouldn't be surprised if some mush-mouthed rapper jumped on this. Seriously, though, that wouldn't be the worst thing ever.
