This political, sloganeering video for Broken Social Scene's "Meet Me In the Basement" started life as a fan-made clip in reaction to the riots in Toronto during G20, but the band got it and fully approved, releasing it as the official video for the Forgiveness Rock Record track. I'm not sure what this is really supposed to say--Are we supposed to stop watching YouTube and Jaws 3D to engage in meaningless protests that don't accomplish anything beyond setting cars on fire and won't affect anything related to G20?--but it is still pretty entertaining. It's like the Canadian indie rock version of Van Halen's "Right Now" video. [P4K]
I don't know if there was an all-encompassing point, but that hodgepodge was great
