A new Broken Social Scene song! They played it at a surprise show at Courthouse in Toronto. The video quality's a little fuzzy, but is good enough to get you excited about new material from the band (someday? maybe?).
It's a Kevin Drew track, and sounds it—its closest analog in the current Broken Social Scene oeuvre is probably "Almost Crimes" or "Superconnected." Oh, and some lady better known for her solo career also shows up. [Stereogum]

I met Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning today. They were hanging out in Millennium Park, watching Dirty Projectors, and afterwards one of my friends wanted to get their autograph, so I walked over there with her. They were real nice, obviously. Andrew Bird was in the same area as we were too, but I didn't go harass him.
