Danger Mouse and James Mercer are still out there promoting the eponymously titled Broken Bells album, which caused them to show up on Conan O’Brien’s new show last night (Dec. 14). “The Ghost Inside” offers Mercer a perfect chance to show off his falsetto, and it’s likely that he’ll be talked into flexing it some more over the next few months after the band picked up a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album (although the smart money will surely go on Arcade Fire to pick up that particular honor).
