Bright Moments: "Travelers" (Prefix Premiere)

Bright Moments comes to us from Kelly Pratt, a multi-instrumentalist whose spent time in the bands for Beirut, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire and more. “Travelers” is the band’s debut single, and strangely enough, it sounds right at home with the acts he’s performed with. Pulpy, Balkan horns, a youthful, Win Butler-ist vigor, and a subtle disco groove. “We’re on our way out west /gonna break a couple hearts along the way” he sings, it’s got a lot of momentum for a horn-driven indie-pop jaunt. The band’s debut record Natives will be coming in February, and you can stream the track below.
