After learning last November that Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes would be releasing a seventh album, The People's Key, some speculated as to what the album would actually sound like. I mean, it is meant to be Oberst's last effort with his Bright Eyes crew and it also features guests from Autolux and Cursive, among others. If the album's first leak, "Shell Games," is any indication, it's apparent that Oberst is still on his Americana kick. The track bounces with hints of the Boss and Dylan, with synthesizers injected into the mix for good measure. It's a foot-stompin' good time, for sure, and clearly another progression from his earlier work under the Bright Eyes moniker.
