Brian Eno and poet Rick Holland began collaborating in 2003 after meeting the previous year. But for whatever reason, they chose to scrap the material they recorded and instead sporadically crafted new tracks over the ensuing years. They have apparently reached a point where they want to share their work with the rest of us because their album, Drums Between the Bells, is due out next month. And if "Pour It Out" and "Bless This Space" are any indication, it sounds like Eno and Holland are simply sticking to one style. The former is a lush, moving piece driven by an almost robotic female voice reading Holland's words while "Bless This Space" is Eno at his most haunting and, dare I say, gnarliest.
Stream both tracks below. Drums Between the Bells drops July 4.
