Raconteur Brendan Benson is the latest musician to cover the shit out of a Christmas song for A.V. Club's Holiday Undercover series. He covers Slade's "Merry X-Mas Everybody," a song that was huge in England, but never really killed it over here. Benson takes the acoustic, sing-along technique with this cover, which is probably fitting since you'd need a gallon of glitter and a huge grin to pull off all those smiling references to other Christmas songs.
