Bowerbirds: "Sweet Moment" (Video)

Bowerbirds trade in swooning, fizzy folk pop, so it makes sense that all those qualities are visually represented in their new video. "Sweet Moment" is a track taken from the North Carolina band's most recent release, The Clearing, an album which dealt with the fact that the group is made up of ex-lovers.

The video serves to highlight this ambiguity and bittersweetness with a pair of characters who live the kinds of lives we all wish we could: building bonfires on beaches, taking roadtrips, some nighttime canoodling. Watch out for the twist at the end, though. Bowerbirds might be romantics, but that doesn't cover up their inherent darkness.
