Bow Wow: "Loaded Like A Full Clip" F. Lil B
Last time we checked in with former kiddie rapper Bow Wow, he was catching flack for propositioning women over twitter. In the meantime he’s released the first single from his debut for Young Money, Underrated, a lukewarm Chris Brown slow jam called “Ain’t Thinkin’ ‘Bout You.” Now comes “Loaded Like a Full Clip,” a collaboration with the Bay Area king of weirdo swag, Lil B. It’s hard to know what the star of Lottery Ticket is going for here. The beat knocks hard enough, with a metal riff and ding-donging low end, but Bow Wow isn’t convincing in the role of a growling fire-starter, and he’s easily outclassed by Lil B, who drops to drop some typically spaced-out rhymes about having a nose ring and “shooting J’s like they’re free throws.”
Underrated is due out sometime this year. [The Fader]
