Boris: "Hope"
The Boris that pops up on Attention Please track "Hope" might seem unrecognizable to some. The song is one of the most incredibly poppy and least metal sounding things the long running Japanese band have ever put their stamp on. At the same time, Boris have always been very hard to pin down genre-wise, so it shouldn't come as a complete surprise. Guitarist Wata takes the lead vocal role, as she does on the rest of Attention Please, and delivers a breathy, ethereal performance. Give it a spin and download it over at Pitchfork.
Attention Please and Heavy Rocks (once again, not to be confused with Boris' 2002 album of the same name) will both be available on April 26 via Sargent House.
