Bon Iver

"For Emma" and "Since I Fell For You" ft. Eau Claire Memorial Jazz Ensemble (Live Video)

Yesterday, we brought you video of Bon Iver leader Justin Vernon playing "Lump Sum" (which featured a bad ass flute solo) with Eau Claire Memorial Jazz Band, but mentioned he played another few songs with the band. Since yesterday, videos of "For Emma," which is above, and "Since I Fell For You," which is below, have surfaced. "For Emma" is the highlight, as it only really features a verse and a chorus from Vernon before the tight band gets to show off with trumpet and piano solos. "Since I Fell For You," a song popularized by Nina Simone, features some harmonica vamping, some seriously bluesy vocals from Vernon. All I did in high school band was play 731 songs by Sousa.  [Stereogum]
