It's been a long wait, but finally there's something new by Bon Iver. 2007's For Emma, Forever Ago has been putting in appearances on end of year lists for 2008 thanks to it's reissue in February of this year, but fans of the album the first time around have waiting for this moment for what seems like forever.
As we mentioned last month, the band's first EP Blood Bank will be released Jan 20 and will feature four new songs- one of which is this sublime title track.
It's the haunting, heartbreaking, aching, subtle sound that we know and love so well, and it's been well and truly worth the wait. [Les Inrocks]
Update: Song has been taken down at the request of Jagjaguwar.
There's a track with Auto-Tune on this EP, and it is pretty awful.
yeah. it's very unnecessary. really cool harmonies, but the song would have been amazing without it.

At first I was surprised by the auto-tuner for 'Woods', but the song grew on me quickly.
I love the track now.
on the contrary, i think the auto-tune gives that track it's unique soul..... almost like he was listening to some slow jams before he recorded it. the harmonies with the lushed reverb and those with auto tune are eargasmic... pure genius man, pure, pure genius.

The music is beautiful. 'Andross' above is just a hater, getting his hate on.

its a bummer about the auto tune on woods.... i would like the track alot more without it...plus it takes something naturally beautiful from it......o well bon iver is still awesome, the other tracks are good.
